Extending Internet Service: PSTN or xDSL / CABLE

There are 3 routes for accessing Internet: a. Telephone line: dial-up; b.Broad band: ADSL; c. Broad band: Cable TV

At the Master unit side, the user may use a ROUTER to automatically route the internet via phone modem, ADSL modem or Cable modem; or if the user has only either one route, then he just simply get the line into WL-2401 Master unit directly. At the Slave unit side, if there are more than one PC in use, the user can use a HUB for the PCs to share the extended Internet route.

Expanding LAN Network

This is the typical application that is most effective and efficient. Simply think of the branch office as a ‘hub’ under the LAN network in head office, and the set of WL-2401 Master and Slave is exactly the wire (LAN cable) to connect to the hub in branch office. Only one time charge, no additional networking cost.

Game World: Game WAN Network Application

The Game World can serve multi-shops (more than 2 Game Shops) like a Game Network under high-speed broadband WAN environment even in areas without Broadband facilities.  And with only one-time charge, NO additional ISP, cabling, networking, Internet, telecom service fee.

This scenario takes especially great advantages in those areas lacking of well broad-band infrastructure, the clients under such environment can still enjoy network PC game with the high speed of broad-band provided by the WL-2401 wireless LAN.

Virtual Private Network ( VPN ) application

The VPN can serve more than 2 Companies; the virtual server company provides services of virtual company server, homepage, LAN and e-mail….

This scenario takes especially great advantages in those areas lacking of well broad-band infrastructure, the clients under such environment can still enjoy the high speed of leased line provided by the VPN operator via WL-2401 wireless LAN.

C.

Extend telephone service to rural area ( VOIP )

FXO voice gateway serves to convert PSTN to VOIP for transmission while FXS voice gateway to convert VOIP for PABX or normal phones; i.e., the PSTN line is connected to FXO in local site (with master unit) while FXS is in remote site (with slave unit) and connected to PABX or normal phone (SLT).

FXO and FXS voice gateway, 4 ports each unit, can be cascaded to serve the actual capacity demand. Theoretically there will be no limitation for FXO/FXS, but the more FXO/FXS in use, the poor voice quality it is. Anyway, the max. transmission Speed is 11MBps, accordingly the practical max. number in terms of well acceptable voice quality of FXO/FXS for each set of WL-2401 is 8 each FXO and FXS, i.e. 32 lines are delivered at one time. Normal desk phone, cordless phone and FAX are all available for FXS.

D.

Security and Remote Monitor application ( WebCam application )

It takes especially great advantages in areas without broad-band infrastructure. Integrated with the Web camera, it supports a ‘large scale’ remote monitor in spread rural areas with NO additional Internet charge. With no cabling installation, it is free from Sabotage!!
